For you that knew Bob, he passed away early this morning, or late last night of health complications.
His wit and smart remarks will be missed.

OMG I read this topic title and was hoping perhaps he'd just decided to leave the zone. Oh gosh! Yes he had the best humour on here. R.I.P Bobby until we meet again.
My condolences go out to friends and family. :(

aww, R.I.P bobby! He was one who welcomed me into the crazy house we call the zone. I miss him. :(

Post 9 by margorp (I've got the gold prolific poster award, now is there a gold cup for me?) on Wednesday, 28-Sep-2016 21:13:24

He had a great sense of humor and an upbeat personality that's for sure!

Post 10 by LeoGuardian (You mean there is something outside of this room with my computer in it?) on Thursday, 29-Sep-2016 10:10:50

Sad sad news! He did have a great sense of humor, that's true. But he also had a whole lot of wisdom, even if saying so would make him virtually blush. He will indeed be missed. RIP, and what a great man!

Post 11 by Shadow_Cat (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Thursday, 29-Sep-2016 10:43:34

Well damn! Becky not long ago, and now Bob. Thanks for letting us know about this, Wayne. He will indeed be missed.

Yes, quite sad indeed. I didn't know him, but enjoyed reading his comments on the boards.

Post 16 by johndy (I just keep on posting!) on Saturday, 01-Oct-2016 14:09:44

Yes; there was a lot of wisdom in his postings here. Definitely miss that.

Good ol' Bob. We had many private and public chats seems like centuries ago now. R.I.P.

Robert Hayes Wiley Obituary:
April 24, 1945 - September 27, 2016
Robert Hayes Wiley was born on April 24, 1945 in Denver, CO to Doris and Ralph Wiley. During the first week of his life, he became blind, which created in him a fierce independence he carried with him his entire life. He is survived by his sister Betty Loyce, daughter Robyn Stevens, son Cody Wiley, granddaughter Lily Grace Stevens, as well as other relatives and a lifetime of friends. We will never forget his kindness, humor, or love for life and he will be deeply missed by those that knew him.
Services. A more detailed obituary may be viewed at www.missionparks.com
FYI: I looked on that website to see if I could find the more detailed obituary, but I could not. If anyone has better luck, feel free to post it here.
I've been debating whether to post more thoughts here myself, and I've decided to share a little.
I was good friends with Bob, and we were gonna meet up at some point, given that he lives in the city I currently live in. However, we lost contact and that never happened. However, he's one of the few Zoners I find trustworthy, and I'll be forever grateful for the memories I have of our friendship.

Sorry for the extra word in there. I took out the part about the services, because they've already happened but I forgot to delete the word "services." Sorry about that.

Post 22 by Jack Off Jill (why the hell am I posting in the first place?) on Monday, 03-Oct-2016 21:48:11

never knew that guy, but from reading his posts, I'd definitely say he seemed wise. Even funny, I really enjoyed his wittiness. RIP. And I'm sorry to those who knew him best, for you are the ones who understand the real meaning of his passing.

Post 23 by LeoGuardian (You mean there is something outside of this room with my computer in it?) on Tuesday, 04-Oct-2016 12:45:13

Chelsea,

Thanks so much for having presented the obituary and your thoughts to the rest of us. All of this really humanizes someone who's text messages we had read over the Internet, but who many of us had never met.
If there are gods and / or an afterlife, I do hope Bob and Becky are together having fun there, whatever that ultimately amounts to.

Post 24 by KC8PNL (The best criticism of the bad is the practice of the better.) on Wednesday, 05-Oct-2016 7:15:01

Quite sad indeed. There was, and will always be, only one Blobby. His wit was something I always admired, as he always made a valid point along with whatever he was saying. He was a rather quiet yet active CL who I enjoyed working with. R.I.P, sir Blobby!

Post 25 by Winterfresh (This is who I am, an what I am about. If you don't like it, too damn bad!!!) on Thursday, 06-Oct-2016 21:29:25

Shit Man. All the good ones this year. This sucks. RIP Bobby. Will miss his
ridiculous board posts and happier wit.

Post 26 by Winterfresh (This is who I am, an what I am about. If you don't like it, too damn bad!!!) on Friday, 07-Oct-2016 6:30:45

I went and read Becky's post and what he wrote on it. This is so surreal.

Post 27 by Shadow_Cat (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Friday, 07-Oct-2016 22:19:44

Chelsea, thanks for posting the obit. Scott, I totally forgot he was a CL at one point. Thanks for the reminder.

Post 28 by UniqueOne (I'll have the last word, thank you!) on Tuesday, 13-Jun-2017 15:19:22

RIP! Man, he and Becky gone? They always fed off one another. Dang, sucks but those 2 I'm sure are laughing it up!

Post 29 by Austin (the magic fan!) on Tuesday, 25-Jul-2017 17:42:57
